nutrition is nomtastic!
March is National Nutrition Month and in honor of that, this video is my first installment in a series of videos on nutrition.
It’s not some crazy, super scientific video, but realizing the misconceptions and just plain lack of knowledge many Americans possess on nutrition basics, this video starts with my own little mini-rant about nutrition in America and then covers the basics of carbohydrates, protein, fat and calories.
So enjoy! If it’s new to you, I hope it inspires you to learn more. If this is old news, share it with someone you think might benefit from it!

What a great video! I love your approach to food and nutrition. And you make good cakes (I was a tester!) You rock, Kris.
Aw, thanks Clea!
Sadly, you are right–so many Americans have no clue about nutrition. I work with people daily on their diets, and I am constantly shocked by what I hear. As a vegan nutritionist, I can’t wait to hear (and see!) what you have to say!

Courtney- I didn’t know you were a nutritionist! That’s good for me to know… one of my next potential book projects might need some of your help…
I will give the disclaimer- this is a total basic overview and I’m no nutritionist, but the general public’s knowledge of nutrition is so dire, well, this is better than nothing!
I thought you knew, lol. I would be more than happy to help you with anything anytime–just let me know!

Shared this to facebook saying ‘For those of you following ‘qualified’ nutritionists watch this. I’m tired of hearing what those fad diet doctors say. It’s time for people to go back to basics :o) Thanks for sharing Kris.
