So this is a quick Treat of the Week that I feel is a cheat because:

1.) It’s not actually my recipe
2.) It’s not so much a recipe as it is food assembly

Alas, it’s in alignment with my cleanse. Oh yes, and it’s delicious.

I used this recipe, but added some lime juice and zest to the mix- delicious! These tasty morsels and hitting the spot when the chocolate cravings kick in. Plus, we all know that I have a soft spot for pistachios, so that doesn’t hurt either.

Do you have any simple sweet treats from nature that you turn to?

That is such a simple but awesome idea! I’ve stuffed dates with almond and coconut butter before, but never thought to use blended pistachios. Sometimes the simplest treats are the best!

That sounds gooood! These days, my simple sweet treats from nature are clementines – I can’t have enough of those juicy pieces of sunshine!

This looks really good, but to be perfectly honest (and boring) I eat my dates straight up. A couple of plain dates after dinner hits just the right level of sweetness for me. I like to keep them in the refrigerator so they get firm and chewy. Maybe I’ll make these for my dinner guests this weekend instead of just adding plain dates to a fruit plate.

    Frozen grapes!

I’d love the taste of dates but cannot eat them after a horrifying experience in Morocco. The pistachio paste is to die for though!
